Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler made an appearance on Drew Barrymore’s talk show recently. During their chat, Jennifer, who stars alongside Adam in Murder Mystery 2, talked about her dislike for having to wear short hair for a role. The conversation arose when they discussed the idea of a remake of the Seventies TV show Three’s Company, in which Suzanne Somers and Joyce DeWitt played the female leads. John Ritter starred as Jack in the original sitcom.
Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler were guests on Drew Barrymore’s talk show earlier this week. The topic of conversation turned to Jennifer’s dedication to her hair, as she revealed that she’s hesitant to chop it off for a role.
Nope, not my style: Aniston, sporting long blonde locks now, was pictured with a bob haircut back in 2001.
Aniston wasn’t too keen on taking on the role of Janet, played by DeWitt.
She wasn’t too thrilled about Janet’s short hair and didn’t want to chop off her own locks for the role.
Inquiring with Drew, Jennifer asked, “Could you pull off the short hair?”
Drew was all for it: “I love Janet. She’s a no-nonsense woman. I relate more to Janet, you’re more of a Chrissy.”
Chrissy, portrayed by sex symbol Suzanne Somers, had long blonde hair and was known for endorsing exercise equipment.
Jennifer has experimented with short hairstyles in the past.
Aniston went for the chop in 2001, during her time on Friends and her marriage to Brad Pitt.
“Just recently, I got my hair all cut off,” Aniston revealed to ElleUK.com at that time.
McMillan, the hairstylist responsible for giving her The Rachel haircut, which Jennifer Aniston admitted she disliked as it was not her preferred style. Aniston mentioned that it was not her best look and even went as far as to call it the ugliest haircut she had ever seen. The cut was not for any particular role but rather a result of her hair reacting poorly to a Brazilian treatment she had done. Chris McMillan was the one who chopped off her hair, leaving it short, reaching her jawline, and slightly shorter in the back. Aniston described it as choppy, like a choppy bob hairstyle.
Clever trio: Aniston, Barrymore, and Sandler team up for a new project
A remake is in the works for the iconic sitcom Three’s Company, featuring the beloved trio of Joyce DeWitt, John Ritter, and Suzanne Somers. Set in the sunny beach town of Santa Monica, California, the show aired from 1976 to 1984.
After four seasons, Somers left the show due to a salary dispute, as she was earning significantly less than Ritter. However, despite her early departure, Somers remains synonymous with the show’s success.
Recently, Drew Barrymore discussed the idea of reviving Three’s Company on her talk show. The concept of a trio movie based on the TV series was brought up, with Adam Sandler expressing excitement at the possibility of a reboot.
With the enthusiasm of the original cast and fans, an updated version of Three’s Company could be a fantastic new take on the classic sitcom.
During the conversation on the show, Drew mentioned, “We brainstormed a concept recently for a potential trio movie.” She then hinted that the idea was inspired by a TV series. Jennifer quickly added, “Oh, like Three’s Company!”
Developing the idea further, Jennifer suggested, “Imagine us at the Regal Beagle, just like in Three’s Company.” The Regal Beagle was the favorite hangout spot of the group of friends in the show.
Adam jokingly chimed in, “We can’t forget about Larry.” Larry, portrayed by Richard Kline, was the smooth-talking friend in the series. Jennifer quipped, “Yes, we need to find our own Ropers.” The Ropers, played by Norman Fell and Audra Lindley, were the quirky landlords in Three’s Company.
Jennifer turned to Adam and asked, “Would you be up for playing Mr. Roper?” Adam responded with a laugh, “I don’t think I can match Jack Tripper’s comedic chops. I’d have to be more like Jimmy Tripper!”
A success! Drew inquired, “So, who’s going to be Chrissy and who’s going to be Janet? I’m open to playing either.” In the photo, we have Suzanne as Chrissy, Joyce as Janet, and John as Jack.
Somers was radiant at the Clive Davis 90th Birthday Celebration held at Casa Cipriani in New York City in April 2022, looking fabulous as always!

Jennifer then added, ‘We’re not planning on a carbon copy reboot, but something inspired by it.’
Adam excitedly responded, ‘I’m totally on board with that!’ while Drew suggested, ‘Let’s brainstorm some ideas.’
During the conversation, the Emmy winner also discussed another close connection: Drew Barrymore, whom Adam frequently collaborates with.
In a recent interview on GMA, Aniston touched upon a possible collaboration with Drew.
Aniston has starred in three movies with Sandler (Just Go With It, Murder Mystery, and Murder Mystery 2), while Barrymore has also appeared in three (Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates, and Blended).
‘We should all do a film together and settle this non-existent rivalry,’ Aniston jokingly said to host Michael Strahan.
‘There’s no rivalry here,’ Sandler chimed in. ‘Just two amazing ladies. It would be fantastic to work on a project together.’
Both of them are close friends of Sandler. The Emmy award-winning actor mentioned another frequent coworker of Adam’s, Barrymore, during their meeting on March 19 in Washington DC.
